Anchormen, Aweigh! XXV

The Anchormen's first record, "The Boy Who Cried Love," is featured prominently as part of the Knockoff Project, an online collection of "album cover spoofs, goofs, tributes, send ups, near misses and coincedences." With more than 100 examples, the gallery features examples from musical groups such as Clinic, Wat Tyler, 1000 Homo DJs, and Bongwater. Fun stuff, and there we are, right at the top!

Thanks to Steve Garfield.

I'm here looking for old Anchormen records. Need to digitize my CDs I guess.

Also, fyi, Spotify promises Somerville pop-punk, but only delivers a different sort Anchorman experience.

I have the second two CDs, if you'd like them. But I don't think we've made the songs available online. Was the Anchormen you encountered the gospel country band? We always enjoyed being confused with them!
