The Restaurant I Ate at Last Night XXX

OK, this afternoon, just moments ago, but in San Francisco's Noe Valley, there's a wonderfully nondescript neighborhood diner that's the kind of place I'd frequent if I lived in the area. Herb's Fine Foods on 24th Street, steps away from Streetlight Records and Phoenix Books & Records, is a comfortable and inexpensive breakfast and lunch spot. With counter seating, plenty of booths, and a simple menu, Herb's served up a decent grilled cheese with tomato, potato chips, and coffee for all of $5. The wait staff is friendly, too.
